Do I need to register if I only use my own legal name?

In Ontario, an individual generally needs to register a business name when operating under a name other than their own full legal name.

Is the $60 Ontario government fee included?

How long is an Ontario business name registration valid?

Five years.

Is Business Essentials required?

No. It is completely optional.

What happens to my domain if I cancel Business Essentials?

Your domain is included while your Business Essentials subscription is active. If you cancel, we can provide options to transfer the domain to you so you can continue using it independently.

What does email forwarding mean?

A professional address such as [email protected] forwards incoming messages to your existing email inbox.

What does the business phone service include?

We provide a Canadian business phone number for incoming calls. Calls are forwarded to another phone number you choose. The service is designed for incoming call forwarding rather than full phone service.
